BMTA Invites Public to Celebrate “243 Years under the Royal Grace of Rattanakosin” at Chulalongkorn Centenary Park
Bangkok, April 2025 – The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) invites the public to join in the grand cultural celebration “Under the Royal Grace: 243 Years of Rattanakosin”, organized by the Ministry of Culture. The event will take place from April 23 to 27, 2025, at Chulalongkorn Centenary Park, marking the anniversary of the founding of Rattanakosin (Bangkok) and honoring the legacy of King Rama I, the founder of the Chakri Dynasty.
A Celebration of History, Culture, and Unity
Mr. Kittikarn Chomduang Jaruwanpolkul, Director of BMTA, stated that the Ministry of Culture is collaborating with various government agencies, private sectors, and networks of religious and cultural organizations to host this significant historical and cultural event. The celebration not only commemorates the establishment of Rattanakosin as the capital but also highlights the rich heritage and national pride that has flourished over the centuries.
As part of the festivities, BMTA is supporting the event by ensuring convenient transportation access for the public. Four major BMTA bus routes will pass by or near the event venue at Chulalongkorn Centenary Park, facilitating easy access for all attendees.
